Default Rex gets attacked for selling daggers in the marketplace

well, yeah i wanted to get rid of my celestial daggers and ive been told on this website that its worth 70k, so yeah i decided to sell it for 70k, and then all of a sudden...

yes i colorcoded the different people.

Red: Doesnt know weapons.
Green: Newb that probably just got the game.
Pink: Someone interested?
Blue: No freakin clue
White: Bragging nutjob.
Light Blue: Someone i couldnt get to because i was distracted
Yellow: Someone who thinks he knows it all.

Really though, i was just trying to sell my daggers, here was what i put out to sell:
Selling Max Rare Barbed Celestial Daggers of Dagger Mastery, req 8, 15^50, only 70k.

Yellow then starts calling me in a scammer in all chat, and i said that hes a noob that doesnt know the values of rare weapons. Yeah i know you can make something like this for cheaper but not all weapons have this skin. I myself dont care about the skin but id like to make money.

Really though, wehn you want to sell something, do you really care if someone else has 4 of the same kinds, or if they can make something like that with other stuff? No. I just wanted to sell the daggers...

Here are the mods and here is the skin in action:

I want your guys opinion on these color coded people.

Simply put... idiots. It's sometimes as hard to find intelligent, helpful, friendly people in the game as it is to find a req8 15^50 dwarven axe. :\

I had a freak spamming the chat channel telling everybody I was an idiot because I was trying to buy a STR based celestial shield. He insisted there was no such thing, since it wasn't on guildwiki. The funny thing was that there was a person SELLING a STR based celestial shield at the time. People are just weird. Don't let them get to you or they win.

Ok? I think you hit the jackpot.

That dagger deserve to worth alot. But you should expect to find a collector/fashion designer to buy it off, and they are not exactly... common.

It appears that none of them had a clue.

In europe, we tend to get mostly Mr Red and Mr Pink, especially Mr Pink.

me: WTS super duper special thingy! 20k! (insert today's trade item here)
Mr Pink: Can I see?
me: Sure, I'm at storage.
*Mr Pink spends 5 minutes finding storage*
*Mr Pink spends another 5 minutes looking at the item in trade before...*
Mr Pink: no thx

Man, i seem to have the exact opposite luck that you have. Some kid bought the endgame strength exdalted aegis from me for 75k : O. I just bought an amulet for 30k and spent 1:32 on shiro to get a new one. 45k instant profit : P. Guess you just gotta get lucky. Wait until you see someone say WTB Good daggers. They usually know what it's worth/ or they'll pay more than what's necessary.

When I first saw the title of this thread, I imagined an ugly elementalist ambushing Rex at the marketplace.

I was slightly disappointed.

You deserve all that crap if you used the chat channel instead of trade. That's only an IF though.

Just...just be quiet. Stop trying to bring that topic up everywhere you go.

/ontopic

I'm loving Mr. Green. I've never personally encountered one of those before. I usually get the Mr. Pink as described by Alathys, and the Mr. White and his irrelivent whispers.
One classic trading encounter not represented that I always come across would be the nosey knob that pms "were do u get those?" (They almost always use "were" where they should use "where" :P) Whenever you're selling something for over 30k, or selling some collector's item like Bleached shells that used to sell for 1k, there always seems to be some uninformed nublet who thinks that if I'm going to sell something to him, I have to tell him where I got it too. Sometimes they even get angry and call me a scammer or some random insult if I refuse to tell them. Luckily most things I can sell on GWG, but I still sell things like Amulets of the Mists because I can get rid of em faster ingame.
